The source of vitamin K2 MK7 contained in the DuoLife product is natto extract. It comes from Japan, where it is used for its extraordinary nutritional value, mainly due to the high concentration of vitamin K2 in its rare form MK7, as well as the enzyme nattokinase, to which the Japanese attach special importance. This nutritional potential is created by the fermentation of soybeans using the bacteria Bacillus subtilis. Due to the action of bacteria, the structure of soybeans changes into a form with high bioavailability of nutrients. Vitamin K contributes to proper blood clotting and helps maintain optimal bone condition.
The vitamin D3 contained in the product comes from lichens and is therefore also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The most available vitamin D of plant origin is vitamin D2, which is absorbed by the human body in small amounts; Vitamin D3 is usually of animal origin and is usually obtained from lanolin, a wax-like substance that is a by-product of sheep wool cleaning.
